Dr. Steven Vold is an award-winning, board-certified ophthalmologist with more than 26 years of experience. He specializes in complex glaucoma and cataract diagnosis and treatment, as well as he is an expert in laser vision correction.

Listed in the Consumer’s Research Council of America’s Guide to America’s Top Ophthalmologists consistently since 2002, Dr. Vold is honored to be considered one of the leading professionals in the industry and has been chosen as the first surgeon in the country on multiple occasions to perform groundbreaking procedures. Dr. Vold has been awarded countless academic awards and honors and has presentations and publications featured across the country. He has also been a featured lecturer locally, nationally, and internationally on a myriad of ophthalmic topics.

A graduate from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota with a major in Biology, Dr. Vold then went on to the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis. Here, he graduated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society, a group that recognizes the top ten percent of medical students in the nation. Afterward, he completed an ophthalmology residency and a glaucoma fellowship at the Northwestern University Medical School in Chicago, Illinois.

Dr. Vold has memberships in many professional groups that contribute to the quality of his career including American Academy of Ophthalmology (AAO), the American Board of Ophthalmology, the American Glaucoma Society, and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. Dr. Vold also co-founded the American-European Congress of Ophthalmic Surgery. Locally, Dr. Vold is a member of the Arkansas Medical Society and the Arkansas Ophthalmologic Society. Continuing research throughout his career, Dr. Vold takes part in the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology as well as the Society for Excellence in Eyecare. Lastly, he is a member of the Texas Medical Association and the Texas Ophthalmological Association
